EclipseZone: Where are all the RCP applications?. Alex Blewitt asks whether the RCP platform is living up to its promise. Lots of people who've built RCP apps chime in. Powerful but complex, apps and IDEs aren't the same thing, etc, etc, etc. A common theme is lack of best practices and recommended way of doing things.
