Eshaness
Cliff-top walking, fresh-water lochs, the remains of a prehistoric stone tower and various old ruins.
I had said that Shetland is "otherworldly":
A causeway to an island. I read that noone knows why it's there. This is next to the remains of an Iron Age tower, called a broch in these parts. I clambered all over the broch, now mostly just a mound, but none of the pictures I took of it are particularly exciting, and I'm posting too many photos as it is.
On Croo Loch, further out on the peninsula. Prime waterfront property, if a little cramped.
Bonus photos from the drive there. Shetland ponies on the roadside (they have owners, but they roam freely). Friendly critters.
Sometimes too friendly. I didn't get a better shot of this one because it started to chew on the car's door handle and I decided it was time to get moving.
