Fat Old Sun

In my world, there is but a single measurement for the onset of summer: when I can start going to work in shorts again? Today was that day. It means that unless a serious cold front rolls in, or I have business meetings (with people who don't know me that well ;-), I will live in my trusty baggies until around May next year when it's time for chinos and jeans again. Did I mention that I love working in a small company? :-)

I wear shorts to work year round! Of course, I work in my own home office.

Of course, you had to post this on the day when our rains started. Here in the northwest USA, once the rain starts, we get about 9 months of it. Not HARD rain. Just a light, slow rain that slowly, ever so slowly, drives on MAD!

Congrats on SUMMER :-) Our's wil be back around July.

Rich - if I could spend my entire year at home, I would :) Thankfully I get a fairly even spread between the office office and home office.

Joe - I don't think I'd mind 9 months of drizzle at all... here on the Highveld as it's known, we have completely dry winters which are awful. Then during summers we normally get thunderstorms in the late afternoons and that's it. Very occasionally do we get rainy weeks, or months, and they're what I look forward to the most. 9 months might be a longer stretch than I'm used to, but give me precipitation any day :)
